“Who hasn’t, when close to the sea, picked up a stone and thrown it in a way that it bounces on the water surface? In Sweden that game is called “kasta macka,” which oddly means to “throw a sandwich”. The perfect “macka” is a stone that is thin with soft rounded edges and this became our inspiration for the Macka collection. Our aim was to create a chair that looked like it had been shaped by the ocean for thousands of years.”

Macka chairs are ideal for restaurant environments thanks to their soft and inviting expression, together with their petit dimensions. The armrests are designed to embrace the body in a comfortable way and the joining with the backrest is the key feature that creates a holistic expression that is light and elegant. Macka chair and stool are composed of four injected flame-retardant polyurethan foam elements, upholstered and assembled on a painted steel frame with tilt adjustable feet.
