Alice Springs Airport | Airport Waiting Area Seating Upgrade

Project overview: Hospitality Furniture Concepts delivered an airport hold room seating refresh at Alice Springs Airport in the Northern Territory. The project replaced outdated terminal furniture with robust tandem seating designed for high-traffic passenger environments, frequent cleaning cycles, and long-term use.

Working with Arconas, we installed Bernù Aero tandem seating in black upholstery to support passenger flow, durability and maintenance efficiency. Open seat backs help debris fall through for easier cleaning, and the modular system allows damaged components to be replaced one-for-one on site without disrupting an entire row.

Accessibility was integrated into the seating plan, with dedicated positions for passengers with reduced mobility. These seats feature an arm removed at the end for wheelchair transfers, with clear accessibility symbol embroidery visible on the seat back.
