About the venue
Established in 1907, Warragul Country Club has been a central sporting and social venue in Gippsland for over a century, with deep roots in the local community.
It combines a classic 18-hole golf course with modern hospitality spaces.
The club offers a mix of recreational and dining experiences, including golf, a sports bar, café, and event facilities.
How the furniture was selected
The furniture selection was carefully planned to support the way each space within the club is used, while reinforcing a relaxed, contemporary hospitality atmosphere. All products specified are commercial-grade, selected for durability, comfort, and consistency across high-traffic environments.
Solid timber table tops in Victorian Ash were used throughout dining and social areas to anchor the interiors and add warmth. Their natural grain and weight give the space a grounded feel, while remaining practical for daily use. These were paired with Pirelli table and bar bases to provide strength and stability, allowing tables to perform reliably in busy bistro and bar settings.
Seating was zoned to suit different modes of use. Penny stools were introduced at bar and casual areas to encourage informal gathering, while Dome and Artemis chairs were used in dining spaces to provide comfort for longer stays. Together, the seating range creates variation without visual clutter, helping the interiors feel cohesive and easy to navigate.
By using a consistent palette of commercial furniture across the venue, the space achieves a balance between robustness and approachability. The result is an interior that supports the club’s everyday operations while delivering a welcoming, modern hospitality vibe for members and guests.
About the project
This project focused on lifting the clubhouse interiors through considered furniture selection—enhancing comfort, flow, and visual cohesion across dining, bar, and social areas.
Our approach was to respect the club’s long-standing community role while introducing furniture that feels current, durable, and welcoming. Each piece was selected to strengthen how the spaces are used day to day, from casual dining to larger social gatherings.
Solid timber table tops in Victorian Ash bring warmth and weight to the interiors, grounding the space and adding a sense of permanence. Paired with Pirelli table bases, they provide stability and flexibility across bistro and bar settings, supporting high traffic without compromising on appearance.
Seating was chosen to balance comfort with longevity. Penny stools, Dome chairs, and Artemis chairs create variation across zones while maintaining a consistent look and feel. The result is a space that feels cohesive, relaxed, and fit for extended use—whether for a quick coffee, a long lunch, or an evening event.
By refining the furniture palette and aligning it with the architecture and interior finishes, the clubhouse now offers a more considered hospitality experience. The updated interiors support the way members and guests move through the venue, elevating both everyday use and special occasions.
