The brief focused on comfort, durability and a consistent furniture palette that suits high-traffic hospitality use.

The updated interiors support day-to-day service in the bistro and café, relaxed drinks in the sports bar, and longer dwell-time in event and function spaces. We worked within the design intent to create a warm, welcoming venue that feels current while respecting the club’s long-standing community role.

About the venue

Established in 1907, Warragul Country Club has been a central sporting and social venue in Gippsland for over a century. The site combines an 18-hole golf course with modern hospitality facilities, including Fairways’ Bistro, an all-day café, a sports bar, and flexible event and function spaces.

For hospitality projects like this, furniture needs to hold up under constant daily use, support different service modes, and maintain a consistent look across varied spaces.

Timber table tops in Victorian Ash to add warmth and weight across dining and social areas
Pirelli table and bar bases for stability in busy bistro and bar settings
Zoned seating to suit different modes of use, from quick café visits to longer dining and events

Seating was selected to create variation without visual clutter. Penny stools support informal bar and casual zones, while Dome and Artemis chairs suit longer dining stays. The consistent palette helps staff manage the venue while keeping the experience calm and cohesive for guests.

Solid Victorian Ash table tops bring warmth and permanence, while the table base system supports stability and flexibility across service formats. Seating choices balance comfort with longevity, supporting everyday dining, quick coffees and evening events.
